The Spirit Box Takeover

One of my favorite bartenders did a bar takeover. The duo created 4 cocktails for the menu and I made sure to try each one. The allure for me was knowing I wouldn't be able to try any of these cocktails anywhere else but there, on that day. And that is part of the experience. I've known Rob for years now, but it was my first time meeting the other half of the duo on this day. What I love about Rob is he does more than just mix drinks. He comes up with a concept and creates the mixes that go into the drinks. All fresh ingredients. And it reminds me, like cooking, it's all chemistry! To hear him describe his process of creating a cocktail, you hear his genius. I am always in awe as he details his process of creating these elixirs that he then mixes into a cocktail. Silly me, still trying to have content muscle-memory, I did not take one photo of any of the drinks. [face palm] But I will say the flavor profiles of each cocktail was distinct, and there were flavors my tastebuds had never tasted before from a cocktail. I cannot wait to see what they do next!

Side Note: We had the privilege of Rob creating a featured cocktail for us for Cocktail/Mocktail Hour a couple of years ago, and it was divine. Perhaps we'll do another collaboration with him so you can try the genius of his cocktails for yourself.
